ABOUT ME

Welcome to my website!

My name is Anges van der Logt, ARPS PPSA Hon.CPE. I am a Dutch female photographer, born in Amersfoort (the Netherlands) in 1969, and I got my master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in 1994. Having met my (Indonesian born) husband in the Netherlands during study, I emigrated to Indonesia in 1995.

While growing up, my father was very seriously into photography, so I learned a lot from him still being young. My first encounter with photography was with analog film, and I even developed my own photos for a while. The interest for photography never faded, and in 2003 I decided to take real classes and to get more serious with my photography. Nowadays, I am very actively taking pictures again (after a long break), and my love for traveling takes me to all over Asia, but also to the most remote places in Indonesia....which I love the most.

I received the Associate distinction (ARPS) at the Royal Photographic Society (UK) on May 27, 2021, and the PPSA distinction at the Photographic Society of America in March 2023.

I just recently published my first photo book "Fading Traditions of Java". For more information follow this link.
